Our Commitment

LawCite is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people with disabilities. We are continually improving the user experience for everyone and applying the relevant accessibility standards to ensure we provide equal access to all users.

We believe that all law enforcement professionals, regardless of ability, should have full access to legal research tools that help them serve their communities effectively.

Accessibility Standards

LawCite aims to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible for people with disabilities and more user-friendly for everyone.

All interactive elements can be accessed using keyboard only

Text meets WCAG AA contrast ratio requirements

Resizable Text

Content remains readable when text is enlarged up to 200%

Focus Indicators

Visible focus states for keyboard navigation

Error Identification

Clear error messages that identify the issue

Known Limitations

Despite our best efforts to ensure accessibility, there may be some limitations. We are actively working to identify and address these issues:

PDF Exports

Exported PDF documents may not be fully accessible to screen readers. We recommend using the Word export option for better accessibility.

Third-Party Content

Some legal case content from external databases may not meet all accessibility standards.

Complex Legal Citations

Some formatted legal citations may be read differently by screen readers.
