Manage your profile, subscription, and security

Accessing Account Settings

Click your profile icon at the bottom of the sidebar (shows your name and subscription tier), then select "Account Settings" from the menu.

The settings modal has three tabs: Profile, Billing, and Security.

Profile Tab

Update your personal and agency information.

Display Name

How your name appears in the app.

Agency

Your department or agency name.

State

Your primary jurisdiction. When you select a state, the federal circuit is automatically set to match (e.g., Texas → 5th Circuit).

Circuit

Your federal circuit. Auto-populated based on state, but you can override it if needed (e.g., if you work near a circuit boundary).

Rank/Title

Your position (Officer, Detective, Sergeant, etc.).

Unit/Division

Your assignment (Patrol, Investigations, etc.).

Default Jurisdiction

Your state and circuit settings are used as defaults when running scenario analyses. You can always change jurisdiction for a specific search using the gear icon.

Billing Tab

View and manage your subscription, payment method, and invoices.

What You'll See

Current plan:Your subscription tier and billing interval
Status:Active, past due, or canceled

Upgrading

Click "Upgrade" in the Billing tab (or from the sidebar)

Choose your plan

Enter payment info on Stripe's secure page

Your subscription starts immediately

Managing Your Subscription

To update your payment method, change plans, or cancel:

Go to Account Settings → Billing

Click "Manage Subscription"

Make changes in the Stripe customer portal

Cancellation

If you cancel, you keep access until the end of your current billing period. Your search history is preserved if you resubscribe later.

Security Tab

Manage your account status, including deactivation and deletion.

Deactivate Account

Temporarily disable your account. Use this if you're taking a break but plan to return.

• Your search history and preferences are saved

• Your subscription is canceled

• Reactivate anytime by logging in again

Delete Account

Permanently delete your account and all data. This cannot be undone.

• All search history is erased

• All profile data is deleted

• Subscription is canceled (refunds per Stripe policy)

• Cannot be reversed

Consider deactivating instead if you might want to return.

Sessions

Sessions last 16 hours, designed for long shifts. After 16 hours of inactivity, you'll be logged out and need to sign in again.

Your session refreshes automatically while you're using the app, so you won't be interrupted during active research.

Privacy

Your data is private and secure:

Only you can see your searches and profile
Data is encrypted in transit and at rest
We never sell or share your data
Delete your account anytime to remove all data
